Experience
Summerlin retired after 27 years of service from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge. During his career, he worked as a patrol deputy, investigator, narcotic detective, DEA Task Force Officer, State Narcotics Agent, Tax Revenue Agent and other assignments. After retiring, Summerlin continues to serve as a law enforcement officer at a County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina. Additionally, he has a passion for teaching the next generation of law enforcement officers in many of the topics that we are able share with our clients. Summerlin holds the Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Law Enforcement Certification from NC Criminal Justice Training and Standards and is certified as a NC Criminal Justice Instructor.
